I am most like the boy in the story Where the Red Fern Grows because he really wants two dogs that he can hunt with. When I was in 2nd grade,I really wanted a cat but I couldn't have one unless I earned it. THe boy in the story needs to work hard and earnmoney to get his dogs. That is how I am most like The boy in the story, Where the Red Fern Grows

Three questions for Wilson Rawls about the story:

1.) Why did Billy's sister help him train the dogs?
2.) Why was Billy's first hunting attempt failed?
3.) Why were Old Dan and Little Ann scared of the water?

If I could change one thing about the story so far, I would not have Rubin die. I would change this because it was really gross and scary. I didn't like this part and wish that it wasn't in the story.

At first, I thought that the title did not make sense at all. But, the book was so good, I read ahed and I finished the story. I then figured out what the title, "Where the Red Fern Grows" meant. As it turns out, a red fern grew over the graves of Old Dan and Little Ann. I liked this title, and I wouldn't change it because it fits the book very well.
